Proud of Our Diversity

Since our inception in 1984, we have had employees from around the globe. While the language barrier may be tough at first, communication can still get through with dedicated employees.

We started with employees from Laos, Vietnam and Thailand. When people were leaving these countries, they created communities in America, bringing in family and friends. When we heard about them moving into our area, we reached out to their community centers for people looking for work. Word got out about Cable Technologies and people were able to see if we were the right employer for them. And we are proud to say that some of these employees have been with us since the beginning.

Recently, we brought in someone from Central America who only spoke Spanish. No worries though, two of our employees being from South Texas were fluent in Spanish. Also, given that our owners spent a couple years in Honduras in their 30's, they too were able to communicate and share laughs. We decided we wanted to bring in more from Central America so more mini communities could be created in the workplace just like our employees from South East Asia. Now we have grown even more adding people from Mexico, El Salvador, and Honduras. They share stories with each other and get along nicely.

We are happy to say, no one in our shop is alone - not being able to communicate with someone in their native language. And even better, our South East Asian and Central American folks communicate through English, and still share smiles and laughs. Who doesn't like a little challenge when getting to know someone?

Point is, our country was built on people leaving their homeland looking for something new. We are happy that we can be a part of the American Dream. We welcome anyone who is willing to put in the work to help us get quality products to our customers in an efficient manner. Hopefully along the way, we can find others to bond with, regardless of background.

All the flags represent the countries that run through our shop. Let us know if you'd like to add your flag.
